Podlaskie: Stork Paradise – event in Lublin

“Podlaskie: Stork Paradise” information and promotional event organized by Podlaska Regional Tourist Organization with the content-related support provided by “Argo-Group” Association for Sustainable Development was held on June 12-14, 2015 in Lublin.

The event was held within the “Protection of white stork in the area of Podlaskie White Stork Trail through an information and education campaign” project, which aims mainly at raising social awareness on the significance of White Stork protection, especially in the areas valuable in terms of nature, including Podlaskie White Stork Trail.

The visitors at the “stork” stall had the opportunity to become familiar with the nature-related tourist offer in Podlaskie Voivodeship, educational offer of national and landscape parks, and to gain information concerning the Podlaskie White Stork Trail.

The “Podlaskie: Stork Paradise” publication and promotional materials connected with storks available at the stall, handed out by storks themselves, encouraged people to learn about the subject of white stork protection and to visit the Trail.

Throughout the whole event, the host encouraged people to participate actively in the promotional activity by organizing competitions and quizzes on the white stork species protection and by informing the passers-by about the places connected with white stork habitats, the Podlaskie White Stork Trail.

The objective of the event was to present the region of Podlaskie Voivodeship as an extraordinary place in terms of nature and as a haven for white storks.

White stork was the most popular mascot in all event in Lublin.

The project is co-financed by the European Economic Area Funds.
